About the Neighbourhood
Just 30 minutes outside of Toronto is the GTA’s Flower City - welcome to Brampton. With its diverse population and rich heritage, Brampton is the ninth most populous municipality in Canada, and the third most populous in the Greater Golden Horseshoe. The city offers a living experience that is a mixture of urban and suburban, sitting in between Toronto and Caledon. Residents can access the big city to the south just as easily as they can access the rolling hills and countryside to the north, all while enjoying a dynamic and entertaining lifestyle in between.
Seldom is there a dull moment in Brampton thanks to a number of popular restaurants, bars, pubs, shops and recreation centres. There is also a vast and inclusive recreational program in Brampton, with sports teams, creative arts programs, and general recreation programs available for people of all ages and experiences. For families who want to stay active, Brampton is home to numerous gyms, arenas, outdoor and indoor skating rinks and fields, and over 800 parks including three major parks and two large conservation areas.
Brampton has a booming economy and is home to the headquarters for numerous companies such as Coca-Cola, Chrysler Canada, Maple Lodge, Canadian Tire, Loblaws, Rogers Communications and more. It is a popular destination for commuters, offering quick and easy routes throughout the GTA. Caledon, Orangeville, Halton, Mississauga, Vaughan and, of course, Toronto are all within an easy drive - with the latter three being as easily accessible by transit as they are by car thanks to a number of transit solutions.
As a part of both the Peel Catholic District School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, Brampton is home to numerous fantastic educational opportunities. For creative children and teens, Brampton has 3 secondary schools across both school boards with well-respected performing arts programs.
With easy access to city life and country life, recreational facilities, outdoor spaces, modern amenities and more, Brampton is the ideal place to raise a family.
