Décor Studio Administrative Assistant (full-time)

LIV Communities is a Burlington based new home builder seeking an Administrative Assistant to fill a full-time position at their Decor Studio located in Ancaster.

Applicants must have excellent people skills and be able to function well as part of a team.

In this role you will be required to work Sunday to Thursday (4 days from 9am to 5pm, and 1 day from 12 noon to 8pm).


-  Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an office environment

-  Excellent command of the English language

-  Friendly, mature attitude

-  Confident and courteous when dealing with the public

-  Excellent listening and communication skills in order to liaison with homeowners

-  Great interpersonal skills – must be a team player

-  Strong work ethic with the ability to be flexible, prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and work well          

    under pressure

-  Excellent command of computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

-  Commitment to accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is a must

-  New home sales or Design Studio experience will be an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:

-  Assist in co-ordinating/scheduling appointments with homeowners

-  Assist in answering telephone calls

-  Assist in paper flow management

-  Assist with Administrative tasks

-  Assist in meeting and greeting homeowners

-  Assist with updating reports

CAD Designer required (full-time)

LIV Communities is a new home builder seeking an Architectural Technologist or equivalent to fill a full-time position in the role of CAD Designer.

Applicants must have excellent people skills and be able to function well as part of a team.

Duties for the position involve working with a team of designers, to prepare and coordinate files for construction, including preparation of support files.


-  A graduate with a diploma in Architectural Technology/Technician or equivalent.

-  Minimum 3-5 years of experience.

-  Excellent skills in AutoCAD 2015 or better.  Experience in Revit an asset.

-  Architectural drafting experience in residential design and construction details.

-  Experience in/with production home building an asset.

-  Must have advanced understanding of interaction between grading and house.

-  Proficient communication skills with municipal partners, contractors and consultants.

-  Knowledge of the 2012 Ontario Building Code.

-  Must have successful completion of the Ontario Building Code qualification exam

   (BCIN certificate - small buildings).

-  A strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Professional would be beneficial.

-  Notable organizational skills, able to multi-task and prioritize work.

-  Exceptional technical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

-  Great interpersonal skills – must be a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-  Create residential working drawings and details.

-  Design of residential house sitings/plot plans.

-  Create sketches and details combining all purchasers’ change requests.

-  Meticulously compile required documentation and permits.

-  Coordinate with Architects, Designers and Engineers on any required changes.

-  Reporting on file status and additional approval requirements.
